The Southampton Writers Conference

 

For 45 years writers have attended the Southampton Writers Conference to find outstanding workshops and a supportive community.

Due to COVID-19 we will be hosting our conference virtually for the second year in a row. Last year, was such a special event packed with talks, readings, workshops, and social get togethers. 

It was amazing to see diverse writers from over 30 states and four continents come together in a supportive and creative environment. In a time of such adversity, it was a powerful statement about community.

This year we're at it again. We want to build a more intimate, more diverse, more supportive community. We have outstanding new workshop leaders and brought back some of your favorites. The conference is virtual, which means you can workshop from anywhere. 

Applicants can choose from our workshops  or lecture series. Workshops include the lecture series. 

Apply by:

April 15 for workshops

July 1 for the lecture series

We're located in Southampton, NY, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.
