The Journey That Matters is a series of six short videos from Arwen Curry, the director and producer of Worlds of Ursula K. Le Guin, a Hugo Award-nominated 2018 feature documentary about the life and works of the iconic author.
In never-before-seen footage, Le Guin candidly discusses her lively childhood, her trust in her imagination, her writing process, her relationship with her husband, and her decision to make most of her characters people of color. Intimate and insightful, these shorts include original introductions from writers John Plotz, Ebony Elizabeth Thomas, Khadija Abdalla Bajaber, and Julie Phillips, as well as Le Guin’s three children: Elisabeth, Caroline, and Theo.
